DCC is happy to join
Friends of Straub Environmental Learning Center
to sponsor this second annual event where guests are invited to learn from a local mushroom expert on Saturday, November 12. The one day class will begin at 9:30 on-site and wrap up by 6:00. Guests should bring sack lunches to enjoy out on the trails and DCC will provide a hot dinner at 5pm to conclude the event.
Costs for the 1-day event are $30 for adults and $20 for kids ages 4-11 and program registration will go through FSELC. For guests wanting to spend the night at DCC, please contact Brenda Kauffman at 541-992-2556 or infodriftcreek.org to make arrangements. Limited space will be available for groups wanting to rent the Sitka cabin. If enough people are interested, the lodge could potentially be available on Friday or Saturday night, possibly both, depending on interest. Note: the drive to Drift Creek Camp from highway 101 south of Lincoln City is approximately 40 minutes on forest service roads. Please plan accordingly to ensure adequate travel time to reach camp by 9:30 a.m. |
